Artificial turf gets dirty, not just smelly. We scoop it, then sanitize it so it is clean where you can’t see.
A note from Erin: The sanitizer we use is Wysiwash®. We buy it at retail like anyone else, with no price break and no payment for mentioning it. After trying many products over the years, it is the only one I would put my name behind.
That turf looks clean. Your nose says otherwise.

Turf doesn’t wash itself the way grass and soil do. Waste and urine soak down into the infill and backing, and bacteria and grime build up there. A quick rinse just moves the surface mess around and leaves the real dirt behind.
Scooping takes care of what you can see. Sanitizing takes care of what you can’t.
Where it helps
- Backyard dog runs and pet turf
- Rooftop and balcony pet areas
- Dog daycare, kennel and apartment-community turf
The sanitizing difference

Turf needs more than a hose-down. Our sanitizing and deodorizing treatment is a hose-end system, and a big step up from a garden sprayer. The product we use is EPA-registered to kill bacteria and control mold and fungi.
- No batch mixing. It puts out a steady level of active chlorine as you hose.
- Sanitizes and deodorizes hard surfaces and turf.
- Covers a lot of ground with very little water or effort.
How we do it
First we remove the solid waste. Then we treat the turf with our sanitizing and deodorizing treatment to go after odor and bacteria at the source.
